Hellooo... I'm Stephen!
You may be wondering why a handyman business has a beard in the name. The simple answer is that I've had the beard longer than I've had the business, and at this point it's doing far too much brand recognition to be retired.
HandyBeard started with a straightforward idea: provide reliable, honest help for all those jobs around the home that never seem to make it to the top of the to-do list. The shelves that have been waiting six months to go up. The fence that's developed an interesting lean. The gate that only opens if you know the secret technique.
You know the sort of thing.
Over time, I've discovered that customers don't just need a handyman. They need someone who turns up when they say they will, takes pride in the work, communicates properly, and leaves things looking better than they found them. It sounds simple, but apparently that's becoming something of a niche service.
As the business has grown, so have the services I offer. Alongside general handyman work, I've spent plenty of time helping customers keep their outdoor spaces under control through gardening and property maintenance.
And that's where the weeds come in.
At some point over the last few years, weeds seem to have become significantly more ambitious. Once content to hide in flowerbeds, they're now launching full-scale invasions of driveways, patios, and pathways across the local area.
I've lost count of the number of times I've arrived to help with a job only to find a perfectly good driveway slowly disappearing beneath an advancing army of dandelions, moss, and assorted botanical troublemakers.
So it made perfect sense to expand what I offer and introduce a dedicated driveway de-weeding service.
No grand claims. No miracle cures. Just thorough, professional removal of unwanted growth and a tidy finish that helps your driveway look cared for again. Because first impressions matter, and your driveway shouldn't look like it's auditioning for a nature documentary.
Whether you need help inside the home, around the garden, or reclaiming your driveway from hostile vegetation, the aim remains exactly the same: honest work, fair prices, and a service that makes life a little easier.
So if you've got a job that needs doing, a garden that's getting ideas above its station, or a driveway that's becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish from a meadow, I'd be happy to help.
The beard and I look forward to hearing from you.
